Ann had experienced Chronic Fatigue for several years and was recovering from a bout that had kept her at home in bed, for some months. She had been advised by her GP that she needed abdominal surgery, and her lower back was often very painful. She was preparing to retire and move to another county so there was much mental activity and planning surrounding this aspect of her life. Ann received insight into her condition and experienced quite profound changes on physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Where, previously, she had been aware of an imbalance between the right and left sides of her body, particularly with the arms, by the end of the healing sessions, both sides of her body were the same size. On other occasions she felt sensations of warmth and sometimes cold. She often experienced a sensation as if she was holding a warm ball of energy in each hand, which extended into her wrists. During one session Ann was aware of specific colours and in another she heard a sound like the wind blowing. Ann was regularly aware of warmth in the head and face area, as well as in the throat. During the second healing session, her hips and legs began to move alternately in a kind of twitching motion which lasted for about ten minutes. After a brief period of discomfort following this energetic "manipulation" her back was no longer painful. As a result of the sessions, Ann has felt more energetic than she had for many years. She felt more mentally alert and was able to make clearer decisions concerning her upcoming house move. She was also more assertive in saying "no" to situations and people who tried to undermine her and take advantage of her. Now, several months later, Ann is still energetic and settled into her new home and environment. She has trained as a Reconnective Healing practitioner herself, is happy, well and enjoying life to the full. Ann has undergone the abdominal surgery but all went well and she recovered remarkably quickly. Bob had experienced severe back pain for a number of years as a result of his work as a plasterer and consequent wear on the vertebral discs. He had been unable to work due to the pain and physical disability. During the sessions, Bob experienced sensations of warmth, a feeling of gentle pressure in the solar plexus area and gradual lessening of the pain symptoms. On occasions he felt as if his back was heating up and also as if his left leg was being stretched. Bob had learned to get out of bed slowly and carefully to avoid creating further pain. Now, he is able to move without fear of the consequences, which would normally mean severe pain for three to four days. He is more active than he has been for many years and is able to walk more easily and stand for longer periods. |
