What is Cymatherapy?

All sounds have the ability to transmit energy through a process known as resonance.  Every part of the anatomy - the cells, organs and tissues - have their own natural resonance or frequency.  Each responds positively to sounds that vibrate in harmony with them.

During the past few years, sound as a therapeutic modality has increased within the medical field.  It is regularly used to reduce stress, for pain management, in delivery rooms and operation theatres, when dealing with the elderly and with those experiencing special needs and emotional issues.  Ultrasound is another example.  Healthcare practitioners regularly prescribe ultrasound to diagnose tumours, clean wounds, pulverise kidney stones and alleviate pain in sore muscles and backs.

Cymatherapy is a combination of sound therapy and magnetic therapy dedicated to restoring optimal good health and well-being.  These non-invasive, combined cutting-edge techniques are both powerful and natural balancing agents in the field of bioresonance and vibrational medicine.  They are produced by the Cyma 1000®, which is one of the most advanced state of the art healing technologies.

Building on the science of Cymatics, over forty years of cutting edge research has culminated with technology taking energetic sound therapy to a new level.  Cymatics is the study of wave phenomena pioneered by the Swiss medical doctor and scientist Hans Jenny (1904-1972).

He explored how sound manifests into form.  This inspired others to research the effects of sound on the human body.  A British osteopath, Dr Peter Guy Manners (1910-2009), was another pioneer who spent many years exploring how cells in a healthy body differ from cells in an unhealthy one.  It is from this research that Cymatherapy has evolved.

Cymatherapy delivers sound frequencies to the organs, tissues and cells that are associated with a healthy functioning body.  These are transmitted through a hand-held applicator, which is placed over the area of the body to be treated.  Within the diaphragm of the applicator head is a static magnet.  This innovation provides a combined magnetic field and a sound wave that oscillate simultaneously at the same frequency.  Medical studies have found the combination of sound and magnetic therapy effective in alleviating a range of physical problems.

Preparing for a Treatment

Generally, a first appointment lasts between an hour to an hour and a half.  Follow-up appointments usually last about half an hour, and we spend a few minutes on feedback from the previous treatment.

Wear comfortable clothing.  You will remain fully clothed throughout the treatment, except for shoes.  All jewellery and belts are fine as long as they do not restrict your movement or breathing.

As a precaution, treatments will not be offered to anyone who
« is, or may be, less than three months pregnant
« is under the influence of consciousness-altering drugs

What happens after a Treatment?

It is not unusual to experience a lessening or complete recovery from physical symptoms.  Most clients report an increase in physical energy, they notice that they are feeling more relaxed, have a greater sense of well-being and often improved clarity of mind and emotions after their treatments.

Please make some time to rest or have some quiet time.  It is also important that you drink plenty of water to help your body remain well hydrated.  If you are concerned about your general health, please contact your GP as your symptoms may be unrelated to the cymatherapy treatment.  You are also very welcome to call me if you have any questions or concerns about your experience following your appointment.
